WebBOVEC SHEEP. The breed is indigenous to Zgornje Posočje (Upper Soča Valley). This native breed remains linked to its area of origin, although its high adaptability has enabled it to spread to other parts of Slovenia. WebThe Bovec sheep breed is a distinctive dairy breed, and has a fine head structure and short ears. Its wool is rough, white, brown or black in colour, and is sheared off twice a year.
