I have a 95 LX which came non vtec, i soldered in the com ponents for Vtec into the ecu, chipped it, and ran the wires to the ecu for vtec control, done. Is this Chipped OBD1 P28 VTEC ECU with Custom Basemap Chip Package compatible with Crome, demon and ostrich? This ECU uses a "ZIF" socket, which is designed to allow a standard 28-pin chip to easily be inserted and removed. Ideally, this should be used with a common programmed chip.

If the fuel pump doesn't prime, then there is a capacitor inside the ecu that goes bad, and takes out the incoming 12V for the ecu, so it never really powers up.
