If you have a ssd you could go uncompressed true quality dxtory codec. That should minimalise the framerate drop, although it still adds a small 5-7% cpu load which on a cpu bottlenecked system could lower your framerate quite a bit. Your best bet would be mrillis action with amd APP acceleration.
