WebMay 26, 2012 · So you're easily into $200+ for the repair. Or you can spend $3 on 2 sheets of sandpaper. 400 grit and 600 grit. Find a small (and very hard wood, I use Ipe) piece of flat wood you can cut and wrap the sand paper around. My piece is 1/4 thick, 2" tall and 1" wide. Go back and forth in the SAME direction with the 400 to remove the scratch (es). My Anaconda was a factory Matte finish and I hand polished it useing an old towel and a rag t-shirt. I did it a little at a time watching tv. I only have 2 or 3 total hours on it.
